Free Trees This Saturday

Miami-Dade's 2008 Adopt-a-Tree program is giving away trees this Saturday, September 13, in Homestead.

From MiamiDade.gov: Summer is almost over and the final event of the 2008 Adopt-a-Tree season is here! This is the last chance in 2008 for eligible Miami-Dade residents to adopt their two FREE trees courtesy of the Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM). The event will be this Saturday, September 13th from 9 am 'till noon at the Harris Field Barn Pavilion in Homestead, 1024 NE 8 Street (Exit #2 off the Florida's Turnpike). Choose from a variety of fruit trees such as Avocado, Sugar Apple and Jackfruit, and shade trees such as Inkwood, Jamaican Dogwood, and Lancepod to plant in your home.

All Miami-Dade homeowners can "adopt" two free trees per year, so do something great for our environment while adding value to your home... Adopt-a-Tree this Saturday.
